About Us
"Kemar is a name originating from Spain that stands for a desire to help others and to be a source of inspiration"
40 Years of Expertise. Two Women on a Mission.
Life can feel relentless - the “always-on” corporate culture, the constant mental load, never-ending to-do lists, and the exhausting effort of keeping up appearances.

Mothers may wonder, “Who am I beyond being ‘Mum’?” as their children head off to school or leave home. Healthcare professionals nearing burnout, and working women running on empty may start questioning whether this is the right path for them. It’s no wonder many capable, caring, and independent women find themselves feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or stuck.

And while there’s always been a strong emphasis on investing in physical health, what’s the roadmap for building mental resilience?
This is where Kemar Meaningful Directions comes in.

We, Pam Maroney (Mental Health Occupational Therapist) and Sally Kemp (Clinical Psychologist), founded Kemar to bridge the gap between 'wellness trends' and actual science - to help cut through the noise. We focus on prevention, not reaction, helping you develop skills before stress and overwhelm take over.

At Kemar, we teach evidence-based mental health skills that’s practical, powerful, and grounded in real life, to support you to:
-
Reconnect with yourself beyond stress and burnout
-
Navigate difficult thoughts and emotions without being driven by them
-
Practice self-compassion and quiet your inner critic
-
Have a better relationship with yourself and others around you
-
Clarify what truly matters to you
-
Set meaningful goals to move forward.
This is where Meaningful Directions begin.

Mental wellbeing isn’t optional — it’s the foundation everything else is built on
What We Offer
Our programs are thought-provoking, entertaining, educational and experiential. What we do is NOT therapy! It’s one of the few spaces you can come to and not feel that anyone is trying to ‘fix’ you. In our experience, that’s incredibly important.
Our programs are grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - a leading, evidence-based approach to mental resilience.

While ACT is often used in clinical settings, our programs are designed for personal growth, not therapy. Think of it as 'therapeutic learning': you'll gain practical tools to navigate life’s hurdles, move through personal road blocks, and walk away feeling more grounded and capable.
We offer a range of flexible programs designed to fit your lifestyle. See below.
